Apt, Capital of the Luberon
On the northern slope of the Luberon massif, Apt is the capital of this beautiful region of France. All year round, the sun shines and beautifies the center of Apt, a typically Provençal town. 2,000 years of history jostle in the streets of the city, discover the vestiges of its rich past!
Walk around the city, visit and discover the most beautiful monuments: Sainte-Anne Cathedral, the Apt Museum, the Maison du Parc naturel, the Maison du fruit confit, the Porte de Saignon, the Hospital Tower, the Salignan mill and many others.
The unmissable event is the weekly market on Saturday morning, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful and largest in Provence.

The Luberon, and more broadly Provence, are renowned for their natural environment, where exceptional fauna, flora and surroundings come together. Among all the places to see in the Luberon, we advise you to go to the Colorado Provençal de Rustrel, on the Sentier des Ocres de Roussillon and to the Mines de Bruoux in Gargas.
Mont Ventoux, “The Giant of Provence”
Paradise for cyclotourists and lovers of the great outdoors, Mont Ventoux dominates the region. Whether you reach the summit on walk, by bike, by car or by motorbike, the panorama will always be as exceptional. The entire region is outlined at the foot of what the locals nickname the “Giant of Provence” or the “Mont Chauve”.
Activities in nature
Cycling routes and hiking trails pass close to our hotel in Apt. On foot or by bike, discover all the wonders that the region has to offer. The team at Hôtel le Manoir knows the region and will be able to guide you in your choice of walk. The two must-sees are the Luberon Cedar Forest and the Oppedette Gorges.
Water activities
Water shapes the landscape in the Luberon. The Apt lake offers relaxation and leisure areas for the whole family, in a natural environment. Don't pass by the village of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, this is where you will find the source of the Sorgue, you can go fishing and canoeing . We also invite you to discover the sweetness of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.
The unavoidable
Many other activities and villages are to be discovered in Provence and the Luberon. Among them, let yourself be tempted by a detour to Lourmarin which will seduce you with the Belfry, the Pont à Coquille, the Château de Lourmarin and the Château Fontvert. Don't miss the Sénanque Abbey in Gordes, the Gorges du Regalon and the Cadenet troglodyte houses.
